Earlier Andy Lau and Lam Katung were shooting a promotional clip for Mainland China Hepatitis Foundation, the clip was broadcast yesterday and the main message is hepatitis prevention, hoping the billion Chinese would understand more about hapatitis and would not look down on hepatitis patients, instead should lend them a helping hand.
The commercial's director is Mainland China's first class director Tian Zhuan Zhuan, Andy is the elder brother whereby Katung is the younger brother suffering from hapatitis, Tian simply used family warmth to express that hapatitis would not be spreaded by food, drink or through air, family members and friends of hapatitis patients need not worry of getting infected.
Katung took several images to look like a hapatitis patient as the director complain that he does not look like a patient, in the end the makeup artist was asked to thicken Katung's makeup to make him looked sick. After the makeup session, everyone was shocked upon seeing him as Andy quipped that it serves as a reminder to take good care of his body even more.
Andy was told that there are around 1 billion people suffering from hapatitis in Mainland China when he was in Beijing because the Chinese had little knowledge of hapatitis, thus did not do any checkup nor prevention, they also think that one could be easily infected by the hapatitis patients thus avoiding the patients, in the sense of causing them to lose their job. The number of deaths caused by hapatitis is also alarming thus Andy hope that with this promotion, it could allow more people to know the importance of taking care of their health.
