Commerical Radio music awards was the first music awards presentation ceremony held in 2006, the stage used black as its theme, therefore all attended singers' must dressed shiny in order for the stage to appear shiny.

Andy Lau whom seldom being favour in Commercial Radio music awards won 1 hit song award and Li Anxiu collected the award on his behalf. Li said: "Many thanks to Commerical Radio for presenting this award to Andy, thanks everybody's support for Andy, believed this will be a good beginning."
