As the honor ambassador, to show his support for the 30th Hong Kong International Film Festival, he Andy Lau attended the press conference and lead a pledge with volunteer army of 100 students, unexpectedly his appearance create a commotion and one of them even teared. Andy quipped that the female student cried because she saw how thin he was and he went forward to console her which result the female student unsure of whether to cry or smile. He hope that with his charisma, he could attract more audience's attention to the film festival.



Andy says: "I feel that those whom love Hong Kong movies will love me as I really grow up with hongt Kong movies."

He thinks that the time that he spend on movies is more than the time that he spend with his parents, he almost draw an equality with the movie industry.

Andy says: "As I put too much time in movies, if there is no movie industry, I believe I would be an outstanding scientist."



Andy is nominated for the Best Actor award with Aaron Kwok, Tony Leung Kar Fai and Simon Yam in the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards. Earlier he went to a photo shoot for the award's official magazine with Tony and he express that Tony show his confidence throughout the shoot.

Andy says: "He (Tony) is very confidence. Among the 3 of us (myself, Aaron and Simon) were great as we need 1 hour to finish the shoot but he took 5 hours, see the efforts that he had put in."
