Warlords held its premiere at Beijing's Olympics Stadium. Director Peter Chan, cast which includes Andy Lau, Jet Li, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Xu Jinglei attended the event as they attracted huge number of fans and media. Despite the temperature is minus 3 degrees, but it does not stop fans from making their way to meet their idols at the red carpet. Huge groups of Andy's fans rushed onto the red carpet resulting in a chaotic situation. Facing Andy's fans, Jet quipped that he was worried as he killed Andy in the film, but he was forced by the director!
On the stage, when talked about the crying scene, Andy said: "I have the most changing emotions during that scene, I smile and cried, asked me to cry in the beginning, Peter Chan told me no need to cry, I checked with him more than 10 times and shot the same scenes for more than 10 times, then I became very angry, because he used my first take." Peter then quipped: "I just wanted to try to see how many tears Andy has and when he could cry!"
Xu Jinglei revealed that the 3 male leads all cried before her in the film, she said: "When Andy cried, I was sitting beside him, I'm eating 'gua zi', then he suddenly cried, splendid. When shooting with Jet is a scene where he had not eaten for a long time, when I feed him porridge, he spit it out and cried. Takeshi Kaneshiro cried when he wanted to kill me, but the director asked me to close my eyes, thus I'm unable to witness it."
Meanwhile, a day earlier One Foundation Fund charity dinner of 35 tables was held in Shanghai. Warlords buddies Andy and director Peter Chan was there to show their suport to Jet Li. Andy managed to raise $150,000 renminbi with his calligraphy writings of 'Fu Qi' and also managed to sell off $60,500 renminbi for a Warlord jeans.
Other celebrities whom do their part for this foundation includes Jackie Chan, Lee Ang, Andy Lau, Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Chow Yun Fat.
