Hong Kong Films Awards chairman Wen Juan released his first book - What we use to save the movie industry in Mainland China. In his book, he talks about more than 100 artistes which includes Stephen Chow, Andy Lau, Leslie Cheung, Chow Yun Fat and many more....
Wen whom had a good relationship with Andy describes him: "We all admit that Andy Lau is a hardworking and serious artiste, in showbiz, his fighting spirit could not be found in another male artistes." However, Wen also compared Andy with several other artistes: "Chow Yun Fat ventures into Hollywood, opting for higher pay as he has an average of less than 1 movie per year, he still has time to shop for vegetable in the Kowloon market, Alex Man was busy with his apparel business in Mainland China, open branches after branches, acting to him is just playing, Jacky Cheung is enjoying time with his daughter and wife, Tony Leung Kar Fai was selecting movies, although Tony Leung Chiu Wai quoted that he had a heavy workload but he's not battling like Andy everyday; meanwhile Leon Lai is more smart in the sense that he's adjusting his position into the backstage as he's the executive of artistic movie."
Wen sighs: "Only Andy is left as he won't give up singing, holding concerts, filming movies, filming commercials, learning Latin dance, continue to do charity works, attend fans gathering, on the cover of magazines, interviewed in radio stations ...... anyway, he never gave up any chances of working, so tired!"
Therefore, Wen urges Andy to stop and take a rest, allowing his life to be more fruitful.
