In April, Nicky Wu will cast in the re-make of director King Hu's The Valiant Ones. Initially the male lead is the new Golden Horse Film Awards Best Actor Aaron Kwok but due to schedule problems, he'll be replaced by Nicky. Nicky exclaimed that he would accept more movie offers to allow more audience to see his performance. With regards to Andy Lau and Aaron winning Best Actor award, being a Small Heavenly King in the past, he instead said: "Everyone had different planning," as he has no intention of winning a Best Actor award.
At the start of this year, Nicky collaborate with Nicky in Battle of Wits as Nicky's character is an archer under Andy's guidance. As this is their first collaboration, Andy asked him: "That's strange, you've entered showbiz for more than 10 years, why didn't we collaborate before?"
Nicky quipped: "It's because that you didn't approach me for your movies."
