Since 13 December 2007, The Warlords which was screened in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and other countries, it managed good reviews and box office collection as it become the best selling Chinese film. Till press time, The Warlords had accumulated more than $3 billion in box office collection, thus becoming the box office champion of Chinese film of 2007. Meanwhile director Peter Chan followed the footstep of Zhang Yimou to become the second Chinese director to break the $2 billion mark in Mainland China with this film.
Peter express that this is his first attempt at shooting period war film, he's satisfied to be able to achieve such good result. On 17 January, Peter will attend Sina Internet Awards in Beijing.
