The Warlords has 6 nominations at Asian Film Awards 2008

Organized by Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, the Asian Film Awards 2008 announced its nomination list yesterday as Lee Ang's Lust,Caution and Peter Chan's The Warlords earning 6 nominations each. Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Jet Li will be vying for the Best Actor award.


The Warlords also has been nominated for Best Film and Best Director. Peter whom was in Beijing, when told of Jet's nomination for Best Actor, he's delighted and surprised because this is an Asian countries film awards presentation ceremony, he said: "It's tough shooting this film, I'm happy to collaborate with Andy Lau and Takeshi Kaneshiro, actually this nomination should belong to three of them."


Peter whom was also nominated for Best Director revealed in a telephone interview: "Actually these few days I overheard that we'll be nominated, although only Jet got nominated for Best Actor, actually Andy and Takeshi Kaneshiro did very well too, but this is an Asian film awards presentation, how could it conquer by Hong Kong, one got nominated is enough, hope we will get more nomination in the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards." Peter added that he would find time to attend the ceremony.
